 2020-2021 Summer Olympics
Hello everyone. It has been a long time coming but we finally are getting the 2020 Olympics from Tokyo. I love the Olympics and among the few sports added this year there is surfing, Karate, and skateboarding. Tony Hawk was on board to talk about the sport and how the judges would be scoring. I love seeing some water polo and track and field events. Not to take away from swimming, diving, or any of the team sports. Gymnastics has always been a favorite of mine. Popularized by the 1992 US women’s team and who could forget the 1996 women’s team when Dominique Moceanu did her floor exercise to The Devil Went Down to Georgia. I love watching the men and women in this as the 4 exercises they perform take a tremendous amount of physical and mental training. Gymnast Laurie Hernandez is at the games showing just how hard it is to compete at this level and goes through the pain and punishment ones body goes through to be able to stick those landings. It is a great time and I can’t wait to catch some great Olympic events from Tokyo. What are your favorite events?

I will have more comments later, but this thing at the opening ceremony was pretty sweet.

That was cool!
I think over time I have appreciated running and swimming (both relays and single events) the most.

So long as judges can't botch the results.

This person was faster than this person in running or swimming...that's something that can be observed, rather than judged by a panel of people with clipboards.

Most of it is fun.

I agree, i was really shocked that they put guys from the suns and bucks on the squad, they clearly wouldn't have had any time to prepare. If they were going to do that they should have used those guys as reserves and used guys that had more time to practice together as the main guys.

That and Rudy Gobert is a beast. The thing i really enjoyed about watching France was getting to see the big guys shine. That is the kind of basketball i like best, big guys banging it up like in the 90s.

I’m with you there, liked the NBA finals with all the big inside play. Been done interesting stuff going on all around, I think the surfing would be nice to catch.

I have to say one thing this olympics is missing though is Michael Phelps and Usaine Bolt. Course those 2 are once in a generation kind of guys.

Yes she did, and i was starting to get worried after her other race didn't go so well. I am still holding out hope that Simone Biles can take the gold in the individual gymnastics too. I kind of feel bad for her. I think she had a major anxiety attack because of all the pressure she put on herself.
