THE POP EXPOSE 'Remembering Frank Bonner' By Mitchell Smith!
Good morning everybody, today we take a look back at the life and career of Frank Bonner. Bonner, who was best known as Herbert Ruggles Tarlek Jr. on the hit sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, sadly passed away in Laguna, CA at the age of 79. Bonner made many cameos including Saved by the Bell New Class, Love Boat, and one of my childhood favorites Night Court. WKRP was a pioneer in putting the setting in the work place and paved the way for sitcoms like Cheers, Wings, and The Office.

Bonner and his character Herb was part of a new way of looking at comedy, and Bonner brought a smooth balance to the comedic cast. Bonner had a nice career that ended in 2014, but his legacy and impact on the sitcom world will live on for times to come.

Here are some comments from former cast mate Lonnie Anderson on his passing

Lonnie Anderson
“Frank Bonner was like household,” the actress advised Fox Information. “He was one of many funniest and nicest males I labored with. I’m heartbroken.”

Some of her favorite moments on set with Bonner

“Gosh, I’ve so many,” stated the 75-year-old on the time. “However there’s one spectacular scene I did with Frank Bonner, who performed the salesperson who was at all times after me. Jan Smithers, who performed Bailey Quarters, advised me to simply accept a date with him and possibly I’d scare him away and he would depart me alone.”

“Nevertheless, it didn’t scare him,” she continued. “We’ve a scene alone in my condo, which was so fantastically written. Frank is de facto poignant in it. It was such a beautiful scene to play as a result of he’s so gifted and gifted. We acquired fan letters, the 2 of us, from Steve Allen and Jack Lemmon about that scene. So I feel that’s my favourite reminiscence.”
